Not all insurance companies will pay for orthotics, but this is something most of our kids need. We were happy to step in and help this family.
“We 100% love and support your mission. We have K's oxygen concentrator because of you. Our insurance denied us, but you came through.” - Kim D.

After a little bit of time with me rocking him, we can move on to a different activity and he won’t be upset anymore. We are very thankful.” - Caitlin L.
“Your video got me the correct diagnosis and your words of encouragement gave me the confidence to push doctors for an EEG. You literally helped save my son. I am forever grateful” - Emma P.
Elopement is a huge issue for some of our kids. And we were excited to help a family this December gain access to a safety bed which they can use when they are not at home.
All our kids deserve access to medical and therapy equipment, developmental toys, and other tools that help them to live their best lives and to reach their God-given potential. Our goal is to impact the Down syndrome community and change futures by helping families get the help they need to see their children thrive and to show parents going through tough times that they are not alone.
When you are on the go to many appointments and have low tone, sometimes you need a nice ride. We have provided adaptive stroller to families who need them and have exhausted other avenues.
If you've followed us for long you know that we've had to use this life saving device twice with Will. Being able to help families in the Down syndrome community afford the Life Vac for their own peace of mind, has been a great blessing.
We now partner with LifeVac, so use code IRONWILL to save 20% on any purchase.
Every person with Down syndrome has unique needs. And sometimes adaptive equipment is needed to support our kids living their best lives. Team Iron Will is always happy to step into spaces where specialized equipment is needed.
We have an ongoing effort to provide care packages for families in the DS community who have been diagnosed with Infantile Spasms.
This winter we helped two families to purchase their own oxygen concentrators after being denied by insurance. It shouldn't be difficult to get insurance to help families with a purchase like this, but at times it is. No little one should have to go without oxygen support at home.
Staying out of the hospital during the winter can be difficult for some of our kids. Having good equipment to help with nasal congestion and monitoring oxygen can really help.
Helping our kids with all of their gross motor and sensory needs can be tough. But it's so important to keep up with therapy goals at home. Team Iron Will offers adaptive toys for children in the DS community
Insurance doesn't always cover the equipment we need for our medically fragile children. And if they do, often it's not enough. We provide medical supplies when extra are needed
Whether. you are just learning to walk or running triathlons, good orthotics are important. And they are not always covered by insurance. So we step in where we can.
In many cases, Down syndrome = tiny airways that lead to pneumonia and other breathing struggles. We have gifted several pulse oximeters to families in the Down syndrome community who were in need of one.
We have ongoing relationships with therapists who let us know when their families in the Down syndrome community cannot afford the toys their children need to practice reaching goals outside of therapy time.
